assigning app to domain user in kiosk mode by powershell windows 10
To assign an app to a domain user in kiosk mode on Windows 10 using PowerShell, you can follow these steps:
Open PowerShell as an administrator.
Use the following command to set up the assigned access for the specified user:
powershellSet-AssignedAccess -UserName "<Domain\Username>" -AppUserModelId "<AppUserModelId>"
Replace <Domain\Username>
with the domain and username of the user you want to assign the kiosk mode to. Replace <AppUserModelId>
with the Application User Model ID of the app you want to assign.
- If you want to assign multiple apps to the user, you can use the
-AppUserModelIds
parameter:
powershellSet-AssignedAccess -UserName "<Domain\Username>" -AppUserModelIds "<AppUserModelId1>", "<AppUserModelId2>"
- To remove the assigned access from a user, you can use the following command:
powershellRemove-AssignedAccess -UserName "<Domain\Username>"
Remember that assigned access (kiosk mode) may require the target apps to be designed to work in such a mode. Not all apps may support kiosk mode, so make sure to test thoroughly.
Replace <Domain\Username>
and <AppUserModelId>
with the appropriate values for your setup. Make sure to run these commands with administrative privileges.
