Don't escape the special characters in the Rmarkdown file
If you want to prevent special characters from being escaped in an RMarkdown file, you can use the verbatim
environment or inline code blocks to preserve the literal representation of the characters. Here's how you can achieve that:
Inline Code Blocks: Wrap the special characters or code snippets with backticks (`) to create inline code blocks. This will prevent the characters within the backticks from being interpreted as Markdown syntax. For example:
markdownThis is an example of `verbatim` inline code block in RMarkdown.
The backticks will preserve the special characters as they are, without escaping them.
Verbatim Environment: Use the
verbatim
environment to create larger sections of code or text that should be displayed as-is without any interpretation. Here's an example:markdown```{verbatim}
This is a verbatim environment in RMarkdown.
Here, you can include any special characters or code snippets without escaping.

The content within the `verbatim` environment will be displayed exactly as written, without any interpretation or escaping of special characters.
By utilizing inline code blocks or the verbatim
environment, you can prevent special characters from being escaped in an RMarkdown file and display them as intended.
