Failed to write .bat file for launching jupyter lab (jupyter notebook)
To create a .bat
file for launching Jupyter Lab (or Jupyter Notebook) on Windows, you can follow these steps:
Open a text editor such as Notepad.
In the text editor, copy and paste the following command:
batch@echo off
cmd /k jupyter lab
or for Jupyter Notebook:
batch@echo off
cmd /k jupyter notebook
Save the file with a
.bat
extension, for example,jupyter_lab.bat
orjupyter_notebook.bat
. Make sure to choose "All Files" as the file type when saving to avoid adding a.txt
extension.Move the
.bat
file to the directory where you want to launch Jupyter Lab or Jupyter Notebook from.Double-click the
.bat
file to launch Jupyter Lab or Jupyter Notebook.
The @echo off
command is used to prevent echoing of the commands in the batch file to the command prompt. The cmd /k
command is used to open a new command prompt window and execute the specified command (jupyter lab
or jupyter notebook
).
Make sure you have Jupyter Lab or Jupyter Notebook installed and properly configured on your system. The batch file assumes that the jupyter
command is accessible in the system's PATH environment variable.
Note: If you encounter any issues or error messages, ensure that you have the correct Python environment and dependencies set up for Jupyter Lab or Jupyter Notebook.
