How can I show the Settings window from the command-Line to select which icons are shown in the Notification Area?
To open the Settings window in Windows 10 to select which icons are shown in the Notification Area, you can use the ms-settings:
URI scheme. Here's how you can do it from the command line:
Open the Run dialog: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
Enter the following command and press Enter:
makefilems-settings:taskbar
This will open the Taskbar settings page directly to the section where you can select which icons are shown in the Notification Area.
Alternatively, you can use the start
command in Command Prompt or PowerShell to open the Settings window with the specified URI. Open Command Prompt or PowerShell and enter the following command:
sqlstart ms-settings:taskbar
This will open the Taskbar settings page in the Settings window, allowing you to select which icons are shown in the Notification Area.
Please note that the availability and behavior of these URIs may vary depending on the specific version of Windows you are using.
