How do I run a java class with a shebang line on Windows?
On Windows, shebang lines are typically used in Unix-like environments to specify the interpreter for executing a script. However, Windows does not natively support shebang lines.
To run a Java class on Windows, you can use the java
command followed by the class name. Here's an example:
batch@echo off
java ClassName
Replace ClassName
with the actual name of your Java class. Save the file with a .bat
extension, for example, run.bat
.
To execute the Java class, double-click on the run.bat
file, or open a Command Prompt, navigate to the folder containing the run.bat
file, and run the batch file by entering its name: run.bat
.
Note that Windows does not recognize shebang lines, so there is no direct equivalent of running a Java class with a shebang line as you would on Unix-like systems. Instead, you can create a batch script or use the java
command directly to run the Java class.
