How to hide geckodriver console window?
To hide the console window of geckodriver (the WebDriver implementation for Mozilla Firefox), you can use the --headless
option. Here's how you can do it in Python:
pythonfrom selenium import webdriver
from selenium.webdriver.firefox.options import Options
# Create Firefox options with headless mode
options = Options()
options.add_argument('--headless')
# Launch Firefox with the headless option
driver = webdriver.Firefox(options=options)
In the code above, we create an instance of Options
and add the --headless
argument to enable headless mode for Firefox. Headless mode allows the browser to run without a visible user interface, effectively hiding the console window of geckodriver.
You can further customize the Firefox options according to your needs by adding more arguments or preferences to the options
object.
Please note that hiding the console window using --headless
is only applicable for geckodriver and Firefox. Other WebDriver implementations may have different options or methods for achieving a similar effect.
