How to remove windows shutdown alert
To remove the Windows shutdown alert dialog, you can modify the system registry to disable the shutdown event tracker. Here are the steps:
Open the Windows Registry Editor by pressing
Win + R
, typingregedit
, and pressing Enter.Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Reliability
If the
Reliability
key doesn't exist, right-click on theWindows NT
key, selectNew
, and then chooseKey
. Name the new key asReliability
.Inside the
Reliability
key, right-click on the right-side pane, selectNew
, and then chooseDWORD (32-bit) Value
. Name the new value asShutdownReasonOn
.Double-click on the
ShutdownReasonOn
value and set its data to0
(zero).Close the Registry Editor.
After making this change, the shutdown alert dialog will no longer appear when you initiate a system shutdown.
Please note that modifying the registry can have unintended consequences if not done correctly. Make sure to follow the steps carefully and create a backup of the registry before making any changes.
