How to sudo on powershell on Windows
On Windows, the sudo
command is not available by default in PowerShell, as it is primarily used in Unix-like systems. However, you can use the PowerShell Start-Process
cmdlet with the "RunAs" verb to run a command or script with elevated privileges similar to sudo
.
Here's an example of how to use Start-Process
with the "RunAs" verb:
powershellStart-Process -Verb RunAs -FilePath "YourCommandOrScript"
Replace "YourCommandOrScript"
with the path to the command or script you want to run with elevated privileges.
When you run the command, it will prompt you for permission to run with administrative privileges. If you provide the necessary permissions, the command or script will run with elevated privileges.
Keep in mind that you will need administrative privileges on the system to execute a command or script with elevated privileges.
