Installed WDK Version from windows command line
To check the installed Windows Driver Kit (WDK) version from the Windows command line, you can use the infverif.exe
utility, which is included with the WDK installation. Follow these steps:
Open a command prompt: Open a Windows command prompt by pressing the Win + R keys, typing "cmd", and pressing Enter.
Navigate to the WDK installation directory: Use the
cd
command to navigate to the directory where the WDK is installed. The default installation path is usuallyC:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\
.For example, to navigate to the default installation directory, run the following command:
shellcd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\"
Check the WDK version: Run the
infverif.exe
utility with the/version
parameter to display the installed WDK version.shellinfverif.exe /version
The command will output the version number of the installed WDK, such as "10.0.xxxxx.xx".
Using the infverif.exe
utility, you can quickly check the installed WDK version from the Windows command line. Make sure to navigate to the correct installation directory based on your system configuration, and run the command with the appropriate parameters.
