- Open the Control Panel and go to System.

- Enter NVM_HOME as the Variable name and the path where NVM is installed as the Variable value. For example, C:\Program Files\nodejs\nvm.
- Click on OK to save the variable.
- Click on New again to create another environment variable.
- Enter NVM_SYMLINK as the Variable name and the path where Node.js should be installed as the Variable value. For example, C:\Program Files\nodejs.
