Mediapipe - installation windows
To install Mediapipe on Windows, you can follow these steps:
Install Python: If you don't already have Python installed on your Windows system, you can download and install the latest version of Python from the official website: https://www.python.org/downloads/
Install Git: Mediapipe requires Git to be installed on your system. If you don't have Git installed, you can download it from the official website: https://git-scm.com/download/win
Open a Command Prompt: Open a Command Prompt by pressing the Windows key + R, typing "cmd" in the Run dialog, and pressing Enter.
Clone the Mediapipe repository: In the Command Prompt, navigate to the directory where you want to clone the Mediapipe repository and run the following command:
bashgit clone https://github.com/google/mediapipe.git
Install dependencies: Navigate to the cloned Mediapipe directory and run the following command to install the required dependencies:
csspython -m pip install --upgrade pip
pip install opencv-python
pip install mediapipe
This will install OpenCV and Mediapipe along with their dependencies.
Test the installation: You can test the installation by running one of the sample scripts provided with Mediapipe. For example, you can run the face detection sample by navigating to the "mediapipe/examples/desktop/face_detection" directory and running the following command:
python face_detection_cpu.py
This will run the face detection script using the CPU. You can also run the script using the GPU by running the following command:
python face_detection_gpu.py
That's it! You should now have Mediapipe installed on your Windows system.
