no pdcures.dll created when using make -f Makefile for win 10 pdcurses
If you're trying to compile PDCurses on Windows 10 using the provided Makefile
but the pdcurses.dll
file is not being created, there could be several reasons for this. Here are a few things to check:
Make sure that you have all the required build tools installed on your system. You'll need a C compiler (such as GCC), a Make utility (such as GNU Make), and the Windows SDK. You can check if these tools are installed by running
gcc
,make
, andrc
(the Windows Resource Compiler) from the command line.Check that the paths in the
Makefile
are correct. Make sure that the paths to the Windows SDK and the PDCurses source code are correct. You may need to modify theMakefile
if you've installed the tools and/or source code in non-standard locations.Try running
make
with the-d
option to get more detailed output. This will print debugging information about whatmake
is doing, which may help identify the problem.Try running
make clean
to remove any intermediate files that may be causing problems, and then re-runmake
to rebuild the project.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to consult the PDCurses documentation or community forums for further assistance.
