Powershell: Failing to resume bitlocker remotely with script
To remotely resume BitLocker using PowerShell, you can utilize the Resume-BitLocker
cmdlet. Here's an example of how you can accomplish this:
powershell$computerName = "RemoteComputerName" # Replace with the actual remote computer name
$volume = "C:" # Replace with the BitLocker encrypted volume drive letter
# Construct the command to resume BitLocker remotely
$command = "Invoke-Command -ComputerName $computerName -ScriptBlock { Resume-BitLocker -MountPoint $using:volume }"
# Execute the command remotely
Invoke-Expression $command
Make sure to replace "RemoteComputerName"
with the actual name or IP address of the remote computer where BitLocker needs to be resumed. Adjust the $volume
variable to match the drive letter of the BitLocker-encrypted volume you want to resume.
The script uses Invoke-Command
to run the Resume-BitLocker
cmdlet remotely on the specified computer and mount point. The Invoke-Expression
cmdlet is then used to execute the constructed command.
Ensure that the user executing the script has the necessary permissions to remotely run commands on the target computer.
Please note that remote execution of PowerShell commands may require proper network connectivity, authentication, and administrative privileges on the remote computer.
