Powershell Select-Object - and Hash
In PowerShell, the Select-Object
cmdlet allows you to select and manipulate properties of objects. To use Select-Object
with a hash table, you can specify the properties you want to select by using the -Property
parameter.
Here's an example of using Select-Object
with a hash table:
powershell$hashTable = @{
Name = "John"
Age = 30
City = "New York"
}
$selectedProperties = $hashTable | Select-Object -Property Name, Age
$selectedProperties
In this example, we have a hash table named $hashTable
with three key-value pairs: Name
, Age
, and City
. We use the Select-Object
cmdlet to select only the Name
and Age
properties from the hash table. The result is stored in the variable $selectedProperties
, and we then output the selected properties to the console.
The output will be:
diffName Age
---- ---
John 30
By specifying the desired properties with the -Property
parameter, you can select specific properties from a hash table using Select-Object
in PowerShell.
