Specifying a directory for output with FORFILES
The FORFILES command in Windows allows you to specify a directory for output using the /P
option. Here's an example of how you can use FORFILES to specify the directory for output:
batchFORFILES /P "C:\Path\To\Directory" /S /M * /C "cmd /c echo @path"
In this example, the /P
option is followed by the path to the directory you want to target. The /S
option tells FORFILES to include subdirectories. The /M
option specifies the file mask or pattern you want to match. In this case, *
is used to match all files.
The /C
option is followed by the command you want to execute for each file. In this example, cmd /c echo @path
is used to echo the path of each file.
You can replace the echo @path
command with any other command or action you want to perform on the files in the specified directory.
Make sure to adjust the path "C:\Path\To\Directory"
to the actual directory path you want to target.
