ssh not recognised in Powershell 7
If you're trying to use the ssh
command in PowerShell 7 and it's not recognized, it's likely because you don't have OpenSSH installed on your system. PowerShell 7 doesn't include OpenSSH by default, so you'll need to install it separately.
To install OpenSSH on Windows 10:
Open the Start menu and type "Apps & features". Click on the first search result.
In the Apps & features window, scroll down until you find the "OpenSSH client" entry. Click on it and select "Advanced options".
In the Advanced options window, click on the "Repair" or "Reset" button.
Wait for the repair or reset process to complete. Once it's finished, you should be able to use the
ssh
command in PowerShell 7.
Alternatively, you can install OpenSSH using the PowerShell package manager:
Open PowerShell 7 as an administrator.
Run the following command to install the OpenSSH client:
mathematicaInstall-Package -Name openssh -Source chocolatey
- Wait for the installation to complete. Once it's finished, you should be able to use the
ssh
command in PowerShell 7.
