Windows Command Prompt, how to move folder?
To move a folder in Windows Command Prompt, you can use the move
command. Here is the basic syntax:
arduinomove source_folder destination_folder
In the above command, source_folder
is the folder you want to move, and destination_folder
is the folder where you want to move it to.
For example, let's say you have a folder called "Folder1" located in the "C:\Users\JohnDoe\Documents" directory, and you want to move it to the "C:\Users\JohnDoe\Pictures" directory. You can use the following command:
arduinomove "C:\Users\JohnDoe\Documents\Folder1" "C:\Users\JohnDoe\Pictures"
Note that the quotes are required if the folder names contain spaces or special characters.
When you run the move
command, Windows will move the entire folder and its contents to the new location. If a folder with the same name already exists in the destination folder, Windows will prompt you to confirm whether you want to replace it.
By using the move
command in Windows Command Prompt, you can easily move folders between different directories or drives.
