Windows command to get the REAL creation date of image or video file
In Windows, you can use the following command in the command prompt to retrieve the real creation date of an image or video file:
shellwmic datafile where name="<file_path>" get CreationDate
Replace <file_path>
with the full path to the image or video file you want to check.
For example, to retrieve the real creation date of a file named "example.jpg" located in "C:\Images" folder, you would use the following command:
shellwmic datafile where name="C:\\Images\\example.jpg" get CreationDate
Executing this command will display the real creation date of the file in the command prompt output.
Note that the "CreationDate" provided by this command corresponds to the actual creation date of the file stored in the file system metadata, rather than the "Date Created" attribute visible in the file properties, which may be modified or inaccurate due to various reasons such as file copying, moving, or editing.
