write path variable to ini using bat file
To write the value of a path variable to an INI file using a batch file on Windows, you can use the echo
command with the redirection operator >
to append the value to the INI file. Here's an example:
bat@echo off
set PATH_VARIABLE=your_path_variable_value
set INI_FILE=path_to_your_ini_file.ini
echo PathVariable=%PATH_VARIABLE% >> %INI_FILE%
In the above example, replace 'your_path_variable_value'
with the actual value of the path variable you want to write, and 'path_to_your_ini_file.ini'
with the path to your target INI file.
The echo
command appends the line PathVariable=your_path_variable_value
to the specified INI file using the >>
redirection operator. The >>
operator appends the output to the file without overwriting its contents. If you want to overwrite the existing content of the INI file, you can use a single >
redirection operator instead.
Save the batch file with a .bat
extension and run it. The value of the path variable will be written to the INI file as a new line with the specified key (PathVariable
) and value (your_path_variable_value
).
Make sure to adjust the values of PATH_VARIABLE
and INI_FILE
variables according to your specific scenario before running the batch file.
